Our center is part of the worldwide Chabad Lubavitch movement, which is headed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
Motivated by his profound love for every Jew and spurred by his boundless optimism and self-sacrifice, the Rebbe set into motion a wide array of programs, services and institutions to serve every Jew. It is in his merit that today 4,000 full-time emissary families oversee activity in more than 2,700 institutions dedicated to the welfare of the Jewish people worldwide.
Rabbi Levi Minsky, who was born and raised in New York, has been active in teaching and outreach for many years. His Rabbinic studies have led him all over the world, from France to Cambodia to Texas, to mention a few destinations. Rabbi Levi has lived in a variety of areas and is thrilled to call Ahwatukee home.
Mrs. Chaya Minsky grew up in Arizona but has traveled far to study and educate others. Together they have opened the Chabad of Ahwatukee.
Chabad of Ahwatukee is dedicated to reaching out to and interacting with the region's diverse Jewish community. we seek to provide space for the Jewish members of Ahwatukee to come together, helping and learning from one another. In this manner, together, we aim to light the torch of Jewish tradition and instill a sense of Jewish pride in the village of Ahwatukee.
We are very excited to embark on this adventure of inspiring and growing with our new community.
